Israel Bonds
Honorees Chosen.

Dr. George Blum, a pediatrician with Southfield Pediatric Physicians, and Dr. Anthony Tersig-
ni, president and CEO of St. John Health System, will be honored by the State of Israel Bonds Pro-
fessional Health Services Division at the annual tribute dinner
5:30 p.m. Thursday, May 8, at Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
At the tribute, Drs. Blum and Tersigni will be presented with
the Maimonides Award in recognition of outstanding achievement
in the health services professions, as well as for their support of
metropolitan Detroit community and the State of Israel.
Dr. Blum is a staff member of several area hospitals including
Sinai, Children's Hospital, Grace, Providence and William Beau-
mont. He is past-chairman of the Children's Hospital of Michigan
Alumni Society and is the past co-coordinator of the Rheumatic
Clinic. Dr. Anthony Tersigni has been a prominent health care ex-
ecutive for many years. He has served as clinical professor of health
and behavioral sciences at Oakland University. He has experience
as an executive with health care systems such as Sister of Char-
ity Healthcare Systems in Cincinnati, the Detroit Medical Cen-
ter, Hospital Corporation of America in Nashville, Tenn., and
Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights. Dr. Tersigni has
numerous professional affiliations including serving as a member
or officer with the American Public Health Association and the
Southeast Michigan Hospital Council.
