Other observers have noted that just as Mr. Netanyahu is caught between world opinion and forces within his own coalition, Mr. Arafat is caught between King Hussein pressing for a com- promise, and Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak, who is urging him to hang tough. The head of the security detail sent two of his men inside Dizen- goff Center to look for the man. Despite the rattled nerves, the terror attack didn't seem to change many people's political opinions. Waiting at a bus stop on Dizengoff Street, 18-year-old Dahan said he still favored a tough, demanding approach to the Palestinians.
