Haagen-Dazs debuts a low-fat line to rave reviews.

ivien Godfrey is "thrilled."
Why shouldn't she be?
You see, Viv is the vice
president of Haagen-Dazs,
the makers of super premium ice
cream. And it is a pretty safe bet
that she gets all of the free ice
cream she wants.
But that is not why she is so ex-
cited. Viv and the rest of the Haa-
gen-Dazs crew are preparing for
the national distribution of the
new additions to Haagen-Dazs'
family of flavors, specifically a line
of low-fat ice cream and more fla-
vors of fat-free sorbet.
Four flavors of low-fat ice cream
— vanilla, chocolate, strawberry
and coffee fudge — are available
in April as are two new sorbet fla-
vors — Margarita (with tequila)

of the time, they fail to meet ex-

But Haagen Dazs' new low-fat
line of ice cream and fat-free sor-
bet flavors succeeds in such a ma-
jor way. Where others have failed
by leaving a thick coating on the
tongue and a lingering bad after-
taste, Haagen Dazs does particu-
larly well in making one think he
is eating the real thing.

"We are thrilled to offer our loy-
al customers a low-fat ice cream
that meets the high taste and
quality standards they've come to
rely on from Haagen-Dazs," Ms.
Godfrey said in the press release
announcing the debut. "Its addi-
tion to our already broad dessert
selections will give consumers yet
another opportunity to indulge
with Haagen-Dazs."

most major supermarkets and
