Council will sponsor a city-wide
reception and tea, 1 p.m. Thurs-
day, April 3, at Congregation
Beth Achim.
Featured will be Israeli shlicha
Elie Aloni, chairman of Na'amat's
status of women department. Ms.
Aloni will speak on "The Impact
of the Changing Role of Women
on Israel." A discussion period
will follow.
There is no charge for the af-
ternoon. It is open to the public.
Following Thursday's pro-
gram, Ms. Aloni will meet with
the general community at 7
p.m.; she will discuss the Israeli
scene today. A dairy tray will be
served. The meeting will take
place at the Crown Pointe build-
ing.

Spring Lunch
Parkwood Chapter of Women's
American ORT will have a spring
luncheon noon Wednesday, April
9, at the Woodcreek Office Cen-
ter. Michael Schwartz, who spent
the past two years in Poland
teaching English to Polish chil-
dren, will speak.

India Talk
The Michigan Region of Women's
American ORT will host Gail and
Dr. Floyd Tukel at a Passover
brunch 11 a.m. Thursday, April
24, at the ORT office.
Dr. and Mrs. Tukel have re-
cently returned from a trip to In-
dia and visited ORT schools
there. They will share their pho-
to presentation on ORT India.

Sets Meetings

The Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will resume the Yiddish
conversation group led by Rochelle
Sabel, 10:30 a.m.-noon Mondays,
beginning April 7, at the Hadas-
