NATHAN "NATE" =ON,
68, of Southfield, died March 14.
He was an electrical contractor
and owned his own business for
over 50 years. He was president
of the Jewish War Veterans
Memorial Home Association,
past commander of the Lt. Roy
G. Green Post, past senior and
junior vice commander of the
Department of Michigan Jewish
War Veterans. He also was a
past president of the Oak Park
Lions, B'nai B'rith Bowling As-
sociation, Ivan S. Bloch B'nai
B'rith Lodge and a vice presi-
dent of the Radomer Aid Soci-
ety. Mr. Zeron was an electrical
department manager for Home
Depot.
He is survived by his wife,
Elaine Levy-Zeron; sons, Avrum
Harold Zeron of Gaylord, Stan-
ley Bernard Zeron of Oak Park,
daughter and son-in-law,
Sharon and Robert Golebiewski
of Hamtramck; stepson and
daughter-in-law, Michael and
Michelle Levy of Oak Park,
Bryan Levy of Wixom; mother-

March 14. Mrs. Ziv was a mem-
ber of the National Council of
Jewish Women, Hadassah,
Franklin Hills Country Club,
past chairman of the Angel Ball,
assisted in the operation of a re-
sale shop and was a volunteer
working with underprivileged
children.
She is survived by her son,
Alvin Ziv of Troy; daughter and
son-in-law, Betty and Melvin

grandchildren, Richard and
Cathy Rosenhaus, Nancy Ros-
man, Rex and Janice Rosen-

Artist Vasarely
Dies In France
New York — Victor Vasarely,
Hungarian artist, died recently
in France. Mr. Vasarely was one
of the creators of Kinetic and Op
Art. He attended the Academy
of Painting and taught at the
Bauhaus in Budapest in 1929,
before emigrating to France in
1930. His first published print
was issued in 1949. He has had
more than 100 one-person
shows throughout the world.
There have been over 100 com-
missioned architectural works
created by Mr. Vasarely.
