Action Day
For Youth

Jewish high school students are
invited to participate in a Jew-
ish Youth Action Day, 9:30 a.m.
Sunday, April 27, to provide vol-
unteer assistance at Jewish and
general community agencies in
metropolitan Detroit.
The day will begin at the Jim-
my Prentis Morris Jewish Com-
munity Center, where students
will board buses to sites to pro-
vide companionship to seniors
and do yard work and home
painting.
Co-sponsors of the event are
the Community Outreach and
Education Department of the
Jewish Federation of Metropol-
itan Detroit and the Agency for
Jewish Education, in partner-
ship with March of the Living,
Miracle Mission for Teens, B'nai
B'rith Youth Organization, Unit-
ed Synagogue Youth, Habonim
Dror, B'nei Akiva and other lo-
cal Jewish youth groups.
Deadline to register is April
14. Adult supervisors are need-
ed.

Slate Event

Detroit area Teen Connection
will hold the next program
12:30-3 p.m. Sunday, March 16,
at U.S. Blades, where there will
be rollerblading. The first 30
people to sign up for whirlyball
can participate from 3-4 p.m.

Board of Directors will meet 7:30
p.m. Tuesday, March 18, at
Maple-Drake. For information,
