BERNARD SCHULAK, 67, of

West Bloomfield, died March. 7.
As a young man, Mr. Schulak
was chosen as an alternate for
the U.S. Olympic swimming
team; he held many swimming
records in Ohio. He graduated
with a degree in architecture
from Illinois Institute of Tech-
nology and went on to work for
the Bloomfield Hills firm of
Eero Saarinen. In 1964, Mr.
Schulak founded Bernard
Schulak and Associates; his
firm designed the world head-
quarters of Arthur .Andersen in
