All three received award certifi-
cates for their achievement. As the
school's first-place winner, Saman-
tha Sefton's name will be en-

Harold Hill in this year's presen-
tation of The Music Man at Lake
Orion High School. He was nom-
inated by the fine arts department
as Graduate of the Year to the De-
troit News Outstanding Graduate
Program. As an honor student, he
has been granted a Medallion
Scholarship to Western Michigan
University School of Music where
he will major in composition and
voice, minor in piano and trum-
pet.

spring semester study program
sponsored by Young Judea. Steve
majors in political science at Cor-
nell, and Amy majors in interna-
tional relations at Michigan
State.
MARY J. PHELLPOTTS,
daughter of Sylvan and the late
Hinde Rapaport of Huntington
Woods, was awarded a master of
health administration degree from
Clark University. Ms. Phillpotts
received an undergraduate degree
from the University of Michigan
and works at the University of
Massachusetts Medical Center in
Worcester, Mass.
LEBENBOM's Sonnets for a
Solitary Oboe at the national
conference of the Society of Corn-
posers Inc. in Florida. From over
600 manuscripts submitted, 30
were selected for performance.
Sonnets for a Solitary Oboe was
written for Sylvia Starkman.
