Rachel Ariel Kozlowski, daugh-
ter of Linda and Jay Kozlowski,
will be called to the Torah as a
bat mitzvah on Saturday, March
8, at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek B'nai Israel Center. Rab-
bi Bitran will lead the service.
There will be a celebration in her
honor at Franklin Racquet Club.
Participating in the service
will be her father, Jay Kozlows-
ki, sister and brother, Annie and
David, and grandparents and
great-grandmother Evelyn
Kasle, Marvin and Edith Ko-
zlowski and Helen Kanat.
Rachel is a seventh-grade stu-
dent at West Hills Middle School
and attends Hebrew school at
Shaarey Zedek. In preparation
for her bat mitzvah, Rachel has
helped at Yad Ezra. She will also
chant her Torah portion at Fleis-
chman Residence. Rachel enjoys
sports, piano and reading.
Mitchell Stuart Mandell of
Farmington Hills will become.
bar mitzvah on Friday, March 7,
at Temple Shir Shalom. He will
lead the service with Rabbis
Dannel Schwartz and Michael
Moskowitz.
Participating in the service
will be Mitch's parents, Donna
and Sanford, his younger sister
Erika, his aunts and uncles and
his grandparents, Ben and Dol-
ly Mandell of Southfield and
Ruth Wolfe of West Bloomfield.
Mitch is an honor student at
Walled Lake Middle School and
attends Hebrew School at Tern-
ple Shir Shalom. For communi-
ty service, Mitch has volunteered
with the Special Olympics and
he is a teacher's aide at Sunday
school. His hobbies include col-
lecting sports cards; he enjoys
bowling, baseball, football and
hockey.

Angela Carey-Spivack will ob-
serve her bat mitzvah at Temple
Israel on Saturday, March 8. She
is the daughter of Barbara Spi-
vack and the late Greg Carey,
sister of Justin and grandchild
of Edward Spivack.
Angela is a student at Abbott
Middle School and enjoys read-
ing, horseback riding, swim-
ming, dancing, as well as roller
and ice skating.

gregation Shomrey Emunah-
Ohel Moed on Saturday, Feb. 8.
Rabbi Jundef led the services.
Marshall's proud parents are
