crabs, stuffed peppers with
shrimp pasta, pan-seared At-

close at the end of June and re-
open the first part of August.
It will be completely redone,
with the fine dining room all on
one floor ... and a 50-room ban-
quet sector added on that will
be done in the same decor ...
and used Friday and Saturday
evenings to compensate for the
loss of seating in the main
area.
During the Golden Mushroom
remodeling, the Mushroom Cel-
lar downstairs will continue to be
open its regular hours.

attendance at the Michigan Culi-
nary Food & Wine Extravagan-
za at Mac & Ray's.
The festive evening celebrat-
ed Mardi Gras time with masks,
beads and decorations.
Over $50,000 was raised to
support the Michigan Culinaiy
Olympic Team and the scholar-
ship fund that aids aspiring chefs
in the metro Detroit area.
Strolling dinner was by about
25 restaurants and seven vint-
ners, with judging by a panel of
media folks who scored the
restaurants on overall display,
food presentation and quality,
wine quality, food and wine pair-
ing.
Their combined scores gave
first place to Mon Jin Lau, with
Opus One second, and Luigi's in
Mt. Clemens third.

about dancing being one of the
best ways to stay fit.

Club on Northwestern has dance
instruction workshops that take
in rhumba, fox trot, swing, cha-
cha, waltz, tango and disco.
