MOTHER TO MOTHER

KADIMA PLUS

Kadima Plus, a joint program with Jewish Family
Service and Kadima, is designed specifically for seniors
diagnosed with a psychiatric disability who are experi-
encing difficulties with daily living. The goal of Kadima
Plus is to assist seniors to remain in their current setting
without their disruptive behaviors putting them at risk
for premature eviction. Staff from each agency work
closely together to develop a plan of care that monitors
safety, socialization, compliance with residence
guidelines and ability to integrate into the general
community.

The program meets once a week for eight weeks and
is held at the Jewish Community Centers in West
Bloomfield and Oak Park. One way accompanied trans-
portation is provided from the child's school to the Jew-
ish Community Center. This program is made possible
through a grant from the Jewish Federation of Metro-
