Congregation Or Chadash has
added a new class.
The topic is "Jewish Prayer
and Liturgy: A Beginner's
Guide." The class meets 8-9:30
p.m. every other Wednesday
night at a private home in Hunt-
ington Woods.
The class is taught by Or
Chadash President Susann
Codish, an instructor in Tanach
and Hebrew at Akiva Hebrew
Day School. There is no charge.
The next meeting is scheduled
for Wednesday, Feb. 26.

weekly classes include a Sunday
night Talmud class for women,
taught by Rabbi Eliezer Cohen;

taught by Ed Codish; and a
Thursday night class in Talmud
for men, taught by Rabbi Cohen.

ORT has recently completed the
program "Navigating the Bible"
on the Internet. It provides In-
ternet access —http://bible.ort.org
— to the Torah and Haftorah.
The program also allows any
interested individual to explore
the Five Books of Moses as his-
tory, literature or religion.
Families from Congregation
B'nai Moshe and Congregation
Shir Tikvah will celebrate the
completion of a major study unit
on the land of Israel with an Is-
rael Fair 9:30 a.m.-noon Sunday,
March 2, at B'nai Moshe.
The event is free and open to
the community. Families will at-
tend in costume and play the
roles of various population groups
within Israeli society. Also fea-
tured will be a presentation
about "Project Israel," sponsored
by the National Council of Jew-
ish Women.
Sites at the fair will include
Jerusalem, a shuk (market) in
Tel Aviv, an archeological dig,
and an artists's colony in Safed
where families will learn how to
make their own HaMishpacha
plaque to put up at home.
Activities will include music,
dance, art, food.
