Ms. Maxon turned her real
estate career, which began in
the North Shore suburbs of -
Chicago, into a 40-year commit-
ment to the residents of down-
town Detroit's Lafayette Park.
She was also a stockbroker, in-
surance salesman and art
gallery manager.
She taught through the De-
troit Institute of Art's Art To
Schools program and volun-
teered at the DIA's gift shop.
Mrs. Maxon is survived by a
