Judaism Class
At Beth El

Temple Beth El will offer "Intro-
duction to Judaism," a 15-week
seminar for prospective converts,
non-Jewish partners of Jews and
Jews seeking a better under-
standing of Judaism, 7-8 p.m.
starting Wednesday, Feb. 26, at
the temple.
The class, which provides an op-
portunity to explore Judaism in a
comfortable and congenial at-
mosphere, will be led by Rabbi
David Castiglione.
The class will focus on Jewish
practices, customs and ceremonies,
biblical foundations and history,
the basic beliefs of the mainstream
branches of Judaism and more.
There will be time for queStions
and discussion during the sessions.
Couples are encouraged to take
the course together and will be
charged a single fee. Fees for the
course are $50 for members of the
temple and $75 for non-members.

Home Workshops
Are Planned

A series of home improvement
workshops will be sponsored by
the city of Southfield and the
Neighborhood Project, in cooper-
ation with NBD Bank and the
WARM Training Program.
The workshops will be held
weekly 6:30-9 p.m. on Thursdays
through March 13 at the Parks
and Recreation Building at the
Southfield Civic Center. The ses-
sions are free.
