The Klezmer Dance Party will be
7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 22, at
Washtenaw Community Col-
lege's Morris Lawrence Building
in Ann Arbor. This is a major
fund-raiser for the Jewish Com-
munity Center of Washtenaw
County.
The Klezmer Fusion Band un-
der the direction of Neal Alexan-
der will lead the group in Israeli
and Eastern European folk danc-
ing as well as swing, polka, waltz
and Chasidic dances.
Ann Arbor dance instructor
Tomas Chavez will lead the
group in line dancing and coun-
try-western dances. Ellen Moss
will lead Israeli dancing.
Tickets for the Purim party are
$15 in advance, $18 at the door
and $10 for students.

"Hereditary Breast Cancer: The
Jewish Connection" will be dis-
cussed by Dr. Sofia D. Merajver,
assistant professor of internal
medicine and director of the Uni-
versity of Michigan Breast and
Ovarian Cancer Evaluation Pro-
gram, at. 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16,
at the home of Alan and Gail
Sugar.
Max Wicha, director of the U-
M Cancer Center, will also speak
briefly about the new center.
The program is sponsored
by the Maimonides Society of
the Jewish Federation of Washt-
enaw County, an organization
of local Jewish doctors and
dentists who seek to strengthen
the bonds between themselves,
the Jewish community and
Israel through educational,
social and philanthropic activi-
ties.
