Gary Goodfriend and Judith
Goodfriend, both of Southfield,
are delighted to announce the en-
gagement of their daughter, Deb-
orah Ruth, to Scott Kenneth
Kennedy, son of Ken and Sharon
Kennedy of Madison, Wis.
Deborah graduated with a
bachelor's degree in journalism
and Hebrew studies from the
University of Wisconsin-Madi-
son. She is completing her mas-
ter's degree in education at
UW-Madison. Scott graduated
with a bachelor's degree in com-
munications from UW-Madison
and works in management for a
local corporation.
A June wedding is planned in
Madison.

Weiss-Gottlieb
Jordana Gottlieb and David
Weiss were recently married at
Congregation Beth Abraham Hil-
lel Moses. Rabbi Joseph Schon-
berger, uncle of the groom,
officiated.
Jordana is the daughter of Jil
Hammer of Syracuse, N.Y., and
Joel Gottlieb of Houston, Texas.
David is the son of Leslie and
Avra Weiss of West Bloomfield.
Risa Gottlieb, sister of the
bride, was maid of honor. Marla
Zwas, sister of the bride, was ma-
tron of honor. Bridesmaids in-
cluded friends Beth Cousens,
Stacey Steinberger and Jennifer
Boland. The junior bridesmaids
were Kayla Jacobson and Eliza-
beth Boyes, cousins of the groom.
Jerold Zwas, brother-in-law of
the bride, was best man. Grooms-
men included Jeffrey and
Michael Weiss, brothers of the
groom; Abram Lynch, brother of
the bride; Jason Weiss, cousin of
the groom, and longtime friend
Brian Tish.
Also participating in the cer-
emony were Marcia Hammer,
the bride's grandmother; Sandor
and Elizabeth Weiss and Ruth
Coblentz, the groom's grandpar-
ents.
Following a honeymoon in the
Greek Islands and Israel, the cou-
ple reside in Oak Park.
