He served in the Navy during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was in the scrap metal busi- ness for 50 years. Dr. Fenton was an al- lergist who had a private prac- tice for 60 years. He was a 1931 graduate of Wayne State University Medical School, a pediatric resident at Buffalo Children's Hospital and had a teaching fellowship in allergies and infectious diseases at the University of Michigan. Dr. Fenton was board certified in pediatrics and allergy. He served in the U.S. Army Medical Corps during World War II and was discharged as a major. He also served in West French Africa for four years. Dr. Fenton was past presi- dent and a past public relations chairman of the Michigan Al- lergy Society and held member- ships in the American College of Allergy and Immunology and also the Academy of Allergy and Immunology.
