Adult Studies

The B'nai David Institute of
Adult Studies will present the
second in its series of lectures
conducted by Cantor Barry Ul-
rych, 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11,
titled "Miracles: Jewish Percep-
tions on Fortunate Timing and
Suspension of the Natural Or-
der." A question and answer pe-
riod will follow the lecture and
refreshments will be served.

Adult Series
On Haggadah

To help adult learners prepare
for this year's Passover holiday,
congregations Beth Abraham
Hillel Moses and B'nai Moshe
will offer an eight-part study se-
ries with community educator
Ruth Bergman titled "Why Is
This Book Different? Exploring
the Passover Haggadah." The se-
ries will begin Feb. 6. It will meet
on Thursday mornings from
10:30 a.m. to noon at Congrega-
tion B'nai Moshe.
Tuition is $40 for members of
the sponsoring synagogues; $56
for others. Prospective new stu-
dents may attend the opening
session on Feb. 6 at no charge
and then decide whether to en-
roll for the series. Advance reg-
istration is requested, including
for those who plan to audit the
first class. No knowledge of He-
brew is required.
