program includes over 40 local
businesses, which donate goods
and services to help support the
16 homes and four independent
living programs JARC operates
for people with developmental
disabilities in the Detroit com-
munity.

JWV Honors
Four Leaders

Michigan Jewish War Veterans
and Ladies Auxiliary will con-
tinue a 40-year tradition when
they pay tribute to four commu-
nity leaders during their Broth-
erhood Night 7:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Feb. 4, at the JWV Memorial
Home.
The program will honor state
Rep. David Gubow; Beth Achim
Synagogue Cantor Max Shi-
mansky; Air Force Brig. Gen.
Michael Rice; Macomb County
Assistant Prosecutor Nida Sa-
mona. Presentations will be
made by State Commander Iry
Marshall and State Ladies Aux-
iliary President Elaine Zeron.
The Rev. Henry Reinwald will
relate the World War II story of
the four chaplains who started
the brotherhood tradition.
The JWV Ladies Auxiliary
will arrange refreshments for
the program that is open to the
public.
