Jan. 15.
She is survived by her son

Jack Goldberg of Hollywood,
Fla.; grandchildren, Dale and
Warren Cohen. Mrs. Silver-
stein was the beloved wife of
the late Samuel Silverstein.

FRED SILVERSTEIN, 79, of
Southfield, died Jan. 16. Mr.
Silverstein graduated from
Northern High School. He
served in the army during
World War II. He was a mem-
ber of Perfection Mosaic Lodge.

He worked for United Insur-
ance Company and was in food
sales for the last 15 years.
He is survived by his wife,
Lillian; sons and daughters-in-
law, Ralph and Miriam of
Farmington Hills, Mark and
Edelene of Farmington Hills;
grandchildren, David and
Rhonda. Services were held at
Oakland Hills Chapel in Novi
followed by interment at B'nai
Israel Cemetery.

JAY J. WERBER, 55, of East
Lansing, died Jan. 13. Mr.
Werber was active with the
National Kidney Foundation,
member and past officer of
Congregation Shaarey Zedek
in Lansing and the Lansing
B'nai B'rith. He was a senior
examiner of the Securities Bu-
reau, State of Michigan for 20
years.
He is survived by his wife,
Mimi; mother, Alice of Oak
Park; son, Matthew A. of Ann
Arbor; daughter, Jennifer and
fiance Gordon Goldbaum of
Oak Park, Ill.; brother and sis-
ter-in- law, David A. and Bar-
bara of Brooklyn, N.Y.; moth-
