bagels to each recipient. Another
round of deliveries is set for Sun-
day, Feb. 2.
The box has about $150 in
coupons for free coffee, bagels,
manicures and workouts in the
metro Detroit area — plus a YAD
Yellow Pages, a CD, a magazine
and promotional materials for
Jewish organizations.
"The box is always going to be
evolving and changing," says Jim
Rosenberg, YAD director.
"We talked about it for a while.
[The idea] came out of the mar-
keting committee to provide a
welcoming kit to people who are
new to the community, new to
YAD."
As many as 60 boxes are being

driving radius will receive their
kits by mail.
Joel and Susan Gechter got in
touch with YAD via a relative
who gave them a YAD flier. The
pair moved to Detroit about six
months ago and received a wel-
come kit last Sunday, as did An-
drew Rosenman of Birmingham.
The Chicago native is not quite
