Wednesday night Kosher Cook-
ing Series with Mimi Markofsky
will continue 7-9 p.m. Jan. 29 and
Feb. 5, at the synagogue.
The theme for the Jan. 29 ses-
sion will be "Pasta." The theme
`-, for the third and final session will
' be "Desserts and Garnishes." Par-
ticipants may sign up for either
or both of the remaining sessions.
The series is open to the commu-
nity, and everyone is invited.

Sisterhood Plans
Member Honors

Congregation B'nai Moshe will
honor the leaders of its sisterhood
during Shabbat morning services
Saturday, Jan. 25. Sisterhood Co-
Presidents Ruth Shayne and Ann
Grey will be among those recog-
nized for their contributions. Su-
san Liebowitz is chairing
Sisterhood Shabbat. Naomi
Pinchuk will chant the Haftorah.
Following services, sisterhood
will sponsor a special kiddush.

Party Planning
Showcase Set

The 9th Annual Party Planning
Showcase will be 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Sunday, Feb. 2, at Temple Beth
El. Visitors can sample hors
d'oeuvres and desserts, learn
dance steps and obtain party
hints from 30 local exhibitors.
Hosted by Temple Beth El Sis-
terhood, the Party Planning
Showcase is open to the commu-
nity at no charge.

The normal deadline for local news and
publicity items is noon Thursday, eight
days prior to issue date. The deadline
for out-of-town obituaries is 10 a.m.
