Sandra and Larry Schiff of Farm-
ington Hills and Barry and Mar-
lene Peltz of Huntington Woods
are delighted to announce the en-
gagement of their daughter, Mela-
nee Jill Peltz, to Randy Phillip
Wertheimer, son of Michael and
Jeannette Wertheimer of Farm-
ington Hills and Nadine Urban of
West Bloomfield.

Melanee received a bachelor of
arts degree in exercise physiology
from Eastern Michigan Universi-
ty. Randy received a bachelor of
arts degree in communications
from Eastern Michigan Universi-
ty.
An August wedding is planned
at Temple Beth El.

Gayle Shayne Starr and Evans
Paul Poulos are delighted to an-
nounce their engagement. Par-
ents are Irma Starr and Ed
Taylor of Huntington Woods and
Vicki Poulos of Evanston, Ill.
Gayle also is the daughter of the
late Jerry Starr. Evans is the
grandson of the late Theodora
Poulos.
Gayle received her bachelor of
science in speech from North-
western University and her mas-
ter of fine arts in theater for

youth and special needs popula-
tions from the University of
Texas at Austin. She is working
as program development direc-
tor at the Imagination Theater
Company in Chicago while ob-
taining her master of social work
at the Jane Adams School of So-
cial Work. Evans attended Tri-
ton College in Rivergrove, Ill.,
and is director of Field Opera-
tions at Data Wave Technologies.
A May wedding is being
planned.
