Club Needs
People's Help

Do you have a pet that can help
improve the quality of life for
nursing home residents, hospi-
tal patients or school children?
If the answer is yes, then the
Pet-a-Pet Club needs you.
Many nursing home resi-
dents have a short attention
span and do not respond to any
other stimuli except these ani-
mals. The patients that are the
most difficult to motivate re-
spond to the dogs and cats.
The Pet-a-Pet Club always
needs volunteers; someone to
spend one hour once a month.
All pets must have up-to-date
veterinarian records; they must
be clean, and they will be also
to be screened slightly. There is
a $5 membership charge to help
cover expenses.
To go to the new facility, The
Marvin and Betty Danto Fam-
ily Health Care Center, call
Mary Preninger, (810) 661-
3624; or Ruth Curry, (313) 535-
0410. The first visit will be held
the first Wednesday of the
month at 10 a.m.
