More than a hundred young adults who had or will have an Israeli ex- perience participated in the "Back to Ben Yehuda" street fair last month at Congregation Shaarey Zedek-B'nai Israel Center. The sights and sounds of one of the hipper streets in Jerusalem were re-created at the fair, with booths resembling storefronts serving as stations for the teens to create Judaica arts and crafts. The gifts were donated to Yad Ezra, the Resettlement Service of Jewish Family Service, senior citizen residences and Shalom Detroit. The event, sponsored by NADIV, a volunteer group of Jewish teens and young adults, also gave the past and future Israel program partic- ipants an opportunity to socialize, perform mitzvot and relive their Israel memories. Music and food rounded out the day. ❑
