pletion of the Marvin and
Betty Danto Health Care
Center, guests gushed
about its elegance and its
amenities.
The kosher nursing
care facility, located on
the Jewish Community
Center campus in West
Bloomfield, features 165 beds, a
sanctuary accented with Jerusalem
stone, a large occupational therapy
wing, a boutique, a "transitional"
apartment, a "nosh nook" for snacks,
a private dining room for residents
and their families, an Alzheimer's
unit with an enclosed courtyard, res-
ident rooms bathed in pastel tones,
and chandeliers throughout.
Officials at the facility anticipate
that 98 percent of its long-term res-
idents will be Jewish. El
