Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Michael Glazier

Michael Glazier will become a bar
mitzvah on Saturday, Dec. 21, at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek-
Frith Israel Center. Michael will
chant the Maftir and Haftorah,
as well as leading the congrega-
tion in the repetition of the Musaf
service. Michael's brother,
Zachary Glazier, will lead in the
chanting of Ashrei and the con-
cluding prayers.
Michael is a seventh-grader at
Orchard I. ,ake Middle School and
a student at the Shaarey Zedek
Hebrew school; he will join the
Hebrew High School-Gesher pro-
gram in January, to continue his
Hebrew education. Michael is ac-
tive in many sports and spends
his summers at Camp Ramah of
Canada
Michael is the son of Manny
and Sandy Glazier, the grandson
of Adele (and the late Cyril) Sil-
ver, Bess and Moishe Glazier, and
the great-grandchild of Fannie
(and the late Bernardo) Luchtan

Sam Maxbauer

Sam Maxbauer of Farmington
Hills will be bar mitzvah at Con-
gregation B'nai Moshe on Jan. 4.
Rabbi Pachter and Cantor Klein
will lead services.
Participating in the ceremony
will be Sam's family Leo
Maxbauer, Terri and Rob Roth,
Elana, Reuben, Dena and
Kendall; grandparents Dolores
and Leonard Farber, Edith and
Nathan Roth, William Maxbauer.
A party will be held at B'nai
Moshe.
Sam is a student at Hillel Day
School. He is active in skiing,
baseball, basketball.
