Young Adults
Theater Night

Steppin' Out, an adventure or-
ganization for Jewish adults,
plans such events as rock climb-
ing, camping, biking, the Luge
and challenge courses. The New
Year's Eve Extravaganza will
be held at a camp two hours
from Chicago. Outdoor activities,
a six-course dinner and a bon-
fire at midnight will bring in the
new year.
The January events, such as
an ice-skating party and a cross
country skiing weekend in
Green Lakes, Wis., are planned.
One "plan ahead" event is a
downhill ski trip to Steamboat,
April 2-6.

for the Jewish Federation's Young
Adult Division night at the Jew-
ish Ensemble Theater 7:30 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 9.
Planned by YAD's Cultural
Awareness Committee, the
evening will feature a performance
ofFamily Secrets, starring Susan
Merson at the Aaron DeRoy The-
ater at the Maple-Drake Jewish
Community Center.
Single and married young
adults are invited. An afterglow
and reception with Ms. Merson
will follow the performance. Ad-
mission fee is $18 per person.
Reservation deadline is Dec. 31.

Tour Israel

Twenty students from the state
of Michigan will take advantage
of a special scholarship offer

granted to them by Machon
L'Torah, the Jewish Learning
Network of Michigan. The group
will depart Detroit Sunday, Dec.
22, for a two-week exploration
tour of Israel. The following is a
