The Hebrew Day Institute of Rockville, Maryland,
now in its twenty-fifth year, is seeking a quali-
fied and highly motivated educator to assume
the position of Director of the School, which will
become available August 1, 1997.
The Hebrew Day Institute is a community Jewish
day school located in a suburb of Washington,
DC, dedicated to providing a quality
secular/Judaic education for its 150 students in K
through 6 and Nursery school.
The Director is called upon to meet the chal-
lenge and seize the opportunity of maintaining a
high quality curriculum and instruction, while
working to expand the school's enrollment. To
achieve the latter, leadership involvement in the
community is essential.
He or she must have the experience in teaching,
supervision and administration to effectively
oversee and motivate the teaching and office
staffs and have a strong desire to continue to
perform as a teacher. Leadership in both secular
and Judaic studies is required. Interpersonal
skills are essential.
