Jim Rosenberg takes over as Federation's head of
young adult programming.

y the mere nature of his
job, Jim Rosenberg knows
a lot about what's going on
around town.
He knows who is new to the
area and he is aware of the kinds
of opportunities that are avail-
able for those in their 20s and
30s who want to get involved in
the Jewish community.
As Federation's newly ap-
pointed director of Campaign
and involvement for young
adults, Mr. Rosenberg is merely
doing his job.
Last month Mr. Rosenberg,
29, replaced the former Young
Adult Division (YAD) director
Jenifer Rosenwasser, who left for
a teaching job. With the new di-
rector came a new title and dif-
ferent responsibilities.
Unlike his predecessor, Mr.
Rosenberg's position involves
serving young adults, whether
it's through YAD or other areas
of Federation.
Most of what Mr. Rosenberg
will be doing is continuing to im-

plement many of the goals and
undertakings already estab-
lished, including welcoming
those who are new to town.
Because he receives between
five and seven calls a week from

on ways to welcome newcomers.
In the near future, young
adults who are new to the De-
troit area will receive "YAD in a

with maps, community informa-
tion and coupons, is a means to
