Congregation Beth Achim will
host Rabbi Debra Orenstein, the
Conservative movement scholar
in residence, Nov. 29-Dec. 1.
A Friday evening service will
be held at 5 p.m., followed by
Shabbat dinner at 6 p.m.
Following dinner, Rabbi Oren-
stein will speak on "New Per-
spectives on Lifestyle, Spirituality
and Gender."
On Saturday, Nov. 30, Rabbi
Orenstein will deliver the D'Var
Torah on "Varieties of Jewish
Prayer." Following services, there
will be a kiddush; Rabbi Oren-
stein will be available for ques-
tions.
The weekend will conclude on
Sunday with a breakfast co-spon-
sored by the Men's Club and Sis-
terhood at which Rabbi
Orenstien will speak on "Gender
Studies: Why Jewish Women's
Issues are also Jewish Men's Is-
sues."
The lectures are open to the
public; however, there is a charge
for the dinner and breakfast. For
