open the public.

Akiva Hebrew Day School will
host a special pre-Chanukah
lunch and learn program 1 p.m.
Tuesday, Dec. 3. The lunch is
sponsored by Mr. and Mrs. Her-
schel Wrotslaysky.
There will be a cooperative
learning session followed by a lec-
ture given by Akiva Principal
Rabbi Karmi Gross on "The Has-
moneans: It Happens in the Best
of Families." The program will
last until 2:15 p.m.

Ohr Somayach Detroit will host
a lunch and learn with Rabbi
Shraga Rothbart 12:30-1:30 p.m.
Thursday, Dec. 5, at the Max M.
Fisher Jewish Federation Build-
ing. His topic will be "Reincar-
nation."
Rabbi Rothbart completed his
undergraduate and graduate de-
grees at Princeton and Yeshiva
universities. He teaches and
studies at the Kollel Institute and
Ohr Somayach Detroit.

Bais Chabad Torah Center, 5595
West Maple Road, West Bloom-
field, on Sunday mornings.
From 10-11 a.m., Jewish his-
tory and philosophy is offered.
From 11 a.m.-noon will be a class
in Hebrew reading.

held 11 a.m. Thursday mornings
at the home of Galina Yeverovich
on Hilton in Southfield. Rabbi
