spaceship, but unless you're a bil-
lionaire with plenty of nothing to do this
could be a little costly and time-consuming.
Or you could travel through the solar sys-
tem simply by getting in your car and driving
to Lansing, home to the Planet Walk, a two-
mile trail with models showing Jupiter,
Mars, the Sun — all those fun, hot spots. It
starts at the Impression 5 Science Center and
continues to' the Potter Park Zoo. In a mere 60
minutes, you'll be able to cover more than 5
billion miles.
It's probably best known as the state capitol,
but Lansing also has family activities galore,
with something for everyone from the 3-year-

You can have fun, fun, fun as you drive, drive, drive to Lansing if you try
some of these travel tips as you journey:
* Before leaving, draw some Jewish
"What's Wrong With This Picture?" cards for
your child. Set a silly Shabbat table with chal-
lah and a large bottle of fish juice. Have a
Chanukah party with guests dining on
crunchy cardboard topped with sour cream
or applesauce. Design a Purim party with
guests passing out shalach manot baskets
filled not with candy and baked goods but
mushroom-and-spinach pie, onion tart and as-
paragus tips (it may sound good to you, all
right, but your child is certain to notice right
away that something weird is going on). Give
your child a crayon to circle all the mistakes,
then some blank paper so he can draw things
