Bar/Bat Mitzvah

Participating in the ceremony
will be Leah's parents, Nurit and
Larry, and her twin brother and
sister, David and Erika. Leah's
proud grandparent, Molly Sallen,
will attend. Leah also is the
granddaughter of the late
Theodore Sallen and the lath Ahu-
va Anani.
A kiddush and lunch will fol-
low the services.
Leah is a student at Hillel Day
School. She is active in drama; her
hobbies include art and dance.

THE PRE-MITZVAH ADVENTURE

Lindsey Schostak

Lindsey Samantha Schostak
will be called to the Torah as a
bat mitzvah on Dec. 7, at Mat
Shalom Synagogue. Rabbi Spec-
tre and Cantor Glantz will lead
the service.
Participating in the ceremo-
ny will be her parents, Elyse
and Jerry Schostak; her sister,
Stefanie; her brothers, Robert,
David, Richard and Mark.
Cousins Michael and Jeffrey
Schostak also will read from the
Torah.
Lindsey's proud grandpar-
ents are Elaine and Clarence
Guttentag and Goldie Schostak.
Lindsey also is the grand-
daughter of the late Louis H.
Schostak. The simcha will con-
tinue at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue.
Lindsey is a student at Hillel
Day School. She enjoys skiing,
tennis, crafts and drama. She
has spent her last three sum-
mers at Interlochen Arts Camp,
pursuing her interests in the
arts.

Jordan Gruber will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah on
Nov. 30, at Congregation Beth
Achim.
Joining in this special occasion
will be his parents, Abby and Avi,
and his brother, Josh, as well as
family from all over the world.
Jordan is the grandson of Pes-
sia Gruber of Petach Tikvah, Is-
rael, and Louis and Richard
Kozlow of Birmingham. Jordan
is an 8th-grader at Birmingham
Covington School and plays soc-
cer for the Birmingham United
Select Soccer Team.
A party will be held at the Ul-
timate Sports Bar & Grill in Jor-
dan's honor.
