New York—El Al Israel Airlines,
the world's only kosher airline,
is sponsoring the Jewish Nation-
al Fund's "Seven Species Culinary
Experience to Israel" tour, sched-
uled to take place in April 1997.
This adventure is being led by
Michael Aeyal Ginor, the co-
founder of the Hudson Valley Foie
Gras company and an expert on
the Israeli restaurant scene. Join-
ing Mr Ginor are five North Amer-
ican chefs, including Daniel
Boulud of Restaurant Daniel in
New York; Thomas Keller of the
French Laundry in Yountville,
California; Susur Lee of Lotus in
Toronto; Nobuyuki Matsuhisa of
Nobu in New York and Matsuhisa
in Beverly Hills; and Allen Suss-
er of Chef Allen's in Aventura, Fla.
The 10-day package celebrat-
ing the cuisine of Israel includes
roundtrip airfare on El Al Israel
Airlines between New York and
Tel Aviv, plus eight nights in Is-
rael, with deluxe accommodations
at the Sheraton Plaza Hotel in
Jerusalem and the Sheraton Ho-
tel and Towers in Tel Aviv.
After flying El Al to Israel, par-
ticipants will enjoy a Shabbat din-
ner featuring kosher French food
at Cow on the Roof in Jerusalem,
prepared by Chef Shalom Kadosh.
Other highlights include dinner
in an authentic Bedouin tent, din-
ner at the Carmel winery, a visit
to a goat cheese producer in the
Judean Hills, a stop at an olive
grove in the Negev Desert and an
afternoon at a typical Mediter-
ranean market.
The package price is $4,100,
which is based on roundtrip coach
class airfare on El Al, plus double
occupancy hotel accommodations
and a $500 tax-deductible gift of
a garden of trees. This price also
covers daily breakfast, four lunch-
es, seven dinners including one
prepared by the chefs, a wine tast-
