Volunteers
Are Sought

The Volunteer Network is look-
ing for agencies that need volun-
teer help on Wednesday, Dec. 25.
On that day, nearly 400 vol-
unteers of all ages will spruce up
shelters, serve food to the needy,
provide companionship to older
adults and relieve workers who
wish to spend the holiday with
their families.
Starting from the Max M.
Fisher Building, groups of 10 or
more volunteers, directed by a
site coordinator, will head out to
work at each location. About 30
agencies are being sought to place
all the volunteers.
The Volunteer Network is a co-
operative venture of the Jewish
Federation's Community Out-
reach and Education Department
and Business and Professional
Women. NADIV, a group of teens
and young adults who have had
an Israel experience and want to
volunteer in the community, also
participates in the program.
Agencies that are looking for
help on Dec. 25 should call Joanie
Berger at Federation, (810) 642-
4260.
