Youngsters learn the
art of the scribe and
the art of making
books at Book Fair.

Over 200 children and
their parents showed up
at the Jimmy Prentis
Morris Jewish Commu-
nity Center last Sunday
to hear children's author
Erica Silverman read
▪ from her book, Gittel's
H ands, to get up close to
• sofer (scribe)Yosef Lange
while he worked, and to
create their own Jewish
book.
They also donated close to
- 75 old and new books to
National Council ofJewish Women
for its adopt-a-school tutoring pro-
gram.
The program was co-sponsored by
Book Fair, Jewish Experiences For
Families, Workmen's Circle, Nation-
al Council ofJewish Women and The
Jewish News. ❑
