there will be a special Shabbat
service. Following, dinner will be-
gin at 6:30 p.m. Rabbi Orenstein
will speak on "New Perspectives
on Lifecycle, Spirituality and
Gender." On Saturday, Nov. 23,
during the Shabbat Service, Rab-
bi Orenstein will deliver the
D'Var Torah. There will be a
lunch and study session follow-
ing the service. Rabbi Orenstein
will speak on "How to Forgive
and Move on-Laws of Repen-
tance."
This weekend is open to the
public. Reservations must be
made by Monday, Nov. 18, for
the Shabbat dinner. The cost is
$18 each adult and $6 each child.
There will be free babysitting
provided during during Rabbi
Orenstein's lecture and also dur-
ing the study session.

A Book Fair

Temple Beth El's Parent Orga-
nization will hold its second an-
nual Book Fair, Sunday, Nov. 17
through Wednesday, Nov. 20, at
the temple. Featured for pur-
chase will be books and tapes for
all ages and interest levels from
pre-school through adult.
Hours of the fair are 9 a.m. to
1 p.m., Nov. 18; 4-6:30 p.m., Nov.
19; and 4-9 p.m., Nov. 20

Chanukah Event

Congregation Beth Shalom will
present "1001 Lights" 6 p.m.
Wednesday, Dec. 11, at the syn-
agogue.
Families are asked to bring
their own Chanukiyot (Chanukah
menorahs) and participate in the
program which is as follows: 6-
6:30 p.m., a light dinner will be
served; 6:30-7 p.m., participants
will make their own candles; 7-
7:30 p.m., the candles will be lit;
7:30-8 p.m., a Chanukah project
will be created.
