dle School recently received the
President's Award kr Academ-
ic Excellence. He plays on-line
hockey and plays the trumpet
in the school band. For his mitz-
vah project, Adam worked at
a day care center and tutored
children in Hebrew. He also
planned a party for adult resi-
dents of a group home.
Adam will continue his cel-
ebration with a party in his
honor at Peking House.

Nov. 16. Rabbis Spectre and
Nevins along with Cantor
Glantz will lead services.
Participating in the ceremo-
ny will be Danielle's parents,
Beth and Bruce Gursky, and
her brothers, Darrin and Seth.
Grandparents Rhoda and Stan-
ley Raderman of West Bloom-
field, Al and Ruth Gursky of
Boynton Beach, Fla., and great-
grandmother Anne Rossen of
Southfield also will attend.
A party will be held at Birm-
ingham Community House.
Danielle is a student at West
Hills Middle School and attends
Hebrew school at Adat Shalom.
She is active in gymnastics,
dance, soccer and cross country.

Ryan Strickstein of West
Bloomfield will be called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah on Nov.
9, at Congregation B'nai Moshe.
The service will be led by Rab-
bi Elliot Pachter and Cantor
Louis Klein.
Ryan's parents, Alan and
Debbie Strickstein, along with
his sister, Lauren Strickstein,
will be participating in the ser-
vice. His proud grandparents,
Rita and Eddie Foon and Anna
and Irving Strickstein, also will
participate. Ryan's aunts and
uncles, Karen and Irwin Danto,
Eileen and Steven Foon, Susan
and Bill Sadley, Tara, Scott and
Robert Strickstein, will be part
of the service.
Ryan is an honor student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in
West Bloomfield. He enjoys base-
ball, skiing and scuba diving.
