welcome storyteller Corinne
Stavish with a program titled
"Rededicating Ourselves to Life,
Love and Laughter Through Sto-
ries." The event is set form 12:30
p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21, begin-
ning with lunch.
Cost is $5 per CHaZaKaH
member and $6 per non-member.

The Beth Elders of Temple Beth
El will get an overview of the
1996-1997 Michigan Opera The-
atre season noon, Tuesday, Nov.

will be Dr. Wallace Peace, a mem-
ber of the Board of Directors of the
Michigan Opera Theatre Guild.

Cantors Group
Visits Detroit

About 100 cantors from the Unit-
ed States and Canada will come
to Detroit during November to
take part in the Tri-State Con-
ference of the Cantor's Assembly.
The event will culminate in a
free concert 7:30 p.m. Tuesday,
Nov. 19, at Adat Shalom Syna-
gogue. The concert will feature
performances by cantors attend-
ing the conference, along with the
renowned Detroit Concert Choir,
recently named Choir of the
World at the Llangollen Intona-
tion Musical Eisteddfod in No ,-++
Wales, Great Britain.
