He was born in Russia and came to the United States at age 10, set- tling in Detroit where he gradu- ated from Cass Technical High School and the Wayne Universi- ty School of Medicine. He later served his internship at Detroit Receiving Hospital. Dr. Weisen- thal founded the Woodward Clinic, the Detroit Memorial Hospital and Mt. Cannel Hospi- tal in Macomb. He was a mem- ber of Phi Lambda Kappa Med- ical Fraternity, Wayne County Medical Society, Michigan State Medical Society and the Ameri- can Medical Association. He was an organizing member of the Detroit Trauma Society, B'nai B'rith Anti-Defamation League, Century Club and Temple Is- rael. He also was a 32nd degree Mason in Profata Lodge. Dr. Weisenthal is survived by his wife of 59 years, Sara Groshoff; sons, Dr. Herbert of Bloomfield Hills, Lee Warren of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Erin and Craig of Bloomfield Hills, Mark of Ft.
