The Auxiliary for Jewish Aged
will sell its Bonus Days Raffle
Calendar beginning Tuesday,
Oct. 22. The calendar is a major
fund-raising effort for the Auxil-
iary.
The 14-month calendar will
have designated dates each
month on which a drawing will
be held for cash prizes. Anyone
who purchases a calendar and
properly registers can participate.
The Auxiliary for Jewish Aged
(formerly known as the Jewish
Home for Aged Auxiliary) is a
supporting arm of the Jewish
Home for Aged and raises mon-
ey for programming and pur-
chase of special equipment for the
residents. The Auxiliary is also
affiliated with Menorah House
and the new Marvin and Betty
Danto Family Health Care Cen-
ter, providing support services
and volunteers.

Hebrew Classes
Hebrew classes for all levels are
still open at the Agency for Jew-
ish Education. They include teen
and adult Hebrew classes for be-
ginners, to advanced Hebrew lan-
guage and literature for people
who are fluent.
All classes are taught by pro-
fessional native Israelis and take
place at the Agency for Jewish
Education, Southfield. Classes
meet once a week for 14 weeks,
for two hours per session.
All courses are open to the com-
