Dr. and Mrs. Harold Katzman of
Bloomfield Hills are pleased to

their daughter, Ellen Beth, to Lee
Ira Michaels, son of Howard
Michaels of Northbrook, Ill. Ellen
received her bachelor of arts de-
gree from the University of
Michigan and a juris doctor from
Northwestern University School

of Law. She is currently em-
ployed as an assistant public de-
fender in the city of Chicago.
Lee received his bachelor of sci-
ence degree from the University
of Wisconsin and is the president

Simons-Bloom

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Simons, for-
mer Detroiters of Longwood, Fla.,
announce the engagement of their
daughter, Diane Beth Simons, to
Alan Jeffrey Bloom, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Philip Bloom of Orlando, Fla.
The couple will be married on
Nov. 23, at the Orlando Mari-lot
Downtown in Orlando.

The bride earned a master of
arts degree in English at Rollins
College. She is employed as a
teacher at Lockhart Elementary
School. The bridegroom is a self-
employed entrepreneur, pursuing
a business degree.
