itself on thorough authenticity.
The executive chef is here from
Japan and through New York ...
His two close assistants are from
Hong Kong and New York ... All
were together at Manhattan's
noted Regent Restaurant.
Don't be shocked because
Shangri-La serves no ice cream
or sherbet ... You won't find any
egg foo young or chop suey there
either.

Lowell Ressler ... on their 45th
anniversary ... celebrated with
friends at Excalibur.
"I'VE HEARD GOOD things
about Nancy Grant in the Oak-

for the open seat," a barrister
said to Judge Barry Grant. "How
long have you known her?" ...
"Since she was born," answered
Barry, who has been keeping
mum about their relationship ...
Nanci is his daughter.
She needed 5,000 signatures
to get on the ballot and wound up
with over 15,000, a figure un-
heard of in an Oakland County
judicial race.
