Musical Meeting

The Detroit Chapter of the Jew-
ish Women International will
host its general meeting at noon
on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the Sut-
ton Place clubhouse.

Yiddish Group
Will Meet

The Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah will sponsor a Yiddish
conversation group led by Alva
Dworkin and Rochelle Sable. The
group will meet on Monday
mornings from 10:30 a.m. to noon
in the Sarah and Ralph David-
son Hadassah house, 5030 Or-
chard Lake Road. The sessions
will begin on Monday, Oct. 7.

Zaslow Talks
To Sisterhood

Temple Israel's Sisterhood will
kick-off its new year with "Chick-
en Soup & All That Zazz." Jeffrey
Zaslow, a syndicated advice
columnist based at the Chicago
Sun-Times, will be the featured
speaker at the Monday, Sept. 30,
noon luncheon.
The luncheon is free to paid up
sisterhood members and $8 for

Nostalgic Tour

Congregation Shaarey Zedek Sis-
terhood's opening program for
paid up members and guests will
feature a tour of old Jewish De-
troit on Monday, Oct. 14. The bus
will leave the parking lot of the
congregation located on Bel Road
and Eleven Mile Rd., at 10 a.m.
Join sisterhood and reserve
place on the tour, which will in-
clude a box lunch. Reserve by
Oct. 7; guests are welcome at a
$10 fee.
