The fifth grade of Akiva Hebrew Day School
recently visited the Resource Recovery and
Recycling Authority of Southwest Oakland fifth
County to learn more about recycling. The
grade at Akiva is in charge of recycling the
school's surplus paper. Pictured are members

join the Holocaust Memorial
Center in honoring former Sec-
retary of the Treasury Henry
Morgenthau Jr., with a
posthumous Righteousness
Award. Mr. Morgenthau's
grandson, Robert Pattridge
Morgenthau, will accept the
award in his grandfather's
name. Robert Morgenthau is
the managing director of
Lazard Freres, an investment
banking firm.
Robert Rubin has been rec-
ognized nationally and inter-
nationally in the fields of
finance and economics.

guest speaker at the Michigan
Region Women's American
ORT Tribute Reception honor-
ing Bertha Rubin of Mount
Clemens on behalf of State of
Israel Bonds, Wednesday, Oct.
2, 7:30 p.m. at the home of
Roberta and Dr. Erwin
Madorsky.
During the Carter and Rea-
gan administrations, Mr. Lof-
tus was a prosecutor with the
Justice Department's Nazi War
Crimes Unit. During the last
10 years, Mr. Loftus has been
an international adviser on
Nazi prosecution, authored sev-
eral books and articles, and received numerous humanitarian
awards. -
