Tennis Lessons
At The JCC
West Bloomfield's Parks and
Recreation Department is offer-
ing tennis lessons this fall at the
Rosenberg Complex of the Maple-
Drake Jewish Community Cen-
ter.
One-hour lessons for adults will
be offered at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. for
beginners and advanced begin-
ners. Monday sessions will run
Oct. 7-Nov. 4 or Nov. 11-Dec. 9.
Wednesday sessions will run Oct.
9-Nov. 6 or Nov. 13-Dec. 18.
Lessons are $79 for five weeks.
Registration deadline is Oct. 3
for lessons beginning in October
and Nov. 7 for lessons beginning
in November.

Race Sept. 29
Addison Oaks County Park is
hosting a mountain bike race for
adults and for children on Sun-cm
day, Sept. 29.
The adult race will be five miles.
The length of the children's race
will be determined by age. On-site
registration begins at 9 a.m or 30
minutes prior to each race.
Children under 12 are free; reg-
istration for others is $25 plus a
one-day ($3) or one-year ($30) Na-
tional Off-Road Bicycle Associa-
tion license.
The course will be open for prac-
tice daily after 2 p.m., beginning
Sept. 23. It will also be open 10
a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 28,
and 7-10 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 29.

Romeo Road, nine miles north of

Softball Playoff
Morgenthau Chapter won the
B'nai B'rith softball playoffs with
a 3-0 record.
The winning team included Rob

Doug Palmer, Joel Kersch, Steve

Morgenthau defeated Bloch/
Brotherhood 20-12 and Brother-

erhood 9-8 to earn a rematch with
Morgenthau. Morgenthau won
the championship game 10-8.
