NEW YEAR GREETING

Youngsters from Young Is-
rael of Oak Park gave a special
New Year greeting to residents
of the Menorah House nursing
home in Southfield. The chil-
dren sang songs and made
shana tova cards for the
residents. The choir included
Yaakov Cohen, Zev David-
owich, Maths Davidowich,
Yael Hinman, Chaim Lin-
den, Noam Linden, Yoch-
anan Linden, Alan
McKinney, Dovid Tzvi
Meissner, Shimshon Send-
ler, Moshe Aharon Snow,
David Weissberg and Peter
Weissberg.
The event was organized by
the Social Action Committee.
Esther Sherizen was chair-
man, and Ms. Snow directed
the choir. Yehudit Jubas was
the art director. Udie Gold-
berg spoke about Rosh
Hashanah and blew the shofar.
Paula Katz, Julie Sherizen,
Ann Yashinsky and Rabbi
Weil also helped with the event.

ALL IN THE FAMILY

Robert Zivian, an Oakland
County assistant prosecutor, is
the fourth member of his fam-
ily to enter the practice of law.
His mother, Etta B. Zivian,
and sister, Sara Zivian
Zwickl, are partners in the
firm of Zivian & Zwickl in Bing-
ham Farms. His brother,
Bruce, is a partner in the firm
of Fitzpatrick Eilenberg and Zi-
vian, which has offices in Chica-
go and New York.

ORT HAPPENINGS

Neiman Marcus and the
Wool Bureau invite the donors
of ORT to view the Andrea
Jovine Collection for fall at
noon Thursday, Sept. 26.
Sharon Hart and Harriet Ja-
cobson are chairmen of the
event.
The 6th annual ORT
WINGO will be held 6 p.m.
Tuesday, Oct. 8, at Congrega-
tion Beth Achim.
ORT and Israel Bonds have
joined forces to honor Bertha
Rubin, who will receive the Is-
rael Bonds Women's Division
Jerusalem 3000 Award. The
event takes places 7:30 p.m.
Wednesday, Oct. 2, at the home
of Roberta and Erwin
Madorsky. John Loftus, au-
thority on World War II prose-
cutions, will be the guest
speaker.
