over to the island; it's about a
30-minute ride.)

f you and your family have had just about all you can take of cute songs and identifying li-
cense plates, here are some ideas of Jewish games to play as you travel up north.
* You've heard of Jewish geography. Well, here's a new way to play it. Match the first
(or last) name of a famous Jew with the first letter of an American state: (Barbra)
Streisand and South Dakota. (Carl) Levin and Louisiana. (Binyarnin) Netanyahu
and Nevada. A hint: It's easier to start with the name than the state.
* Change the title and/or lyrics of your favorite song to include some-
thing Jewish. Have a contest to see who can come up with the silliest
words. Instead of "Maria" from West Side Stoly, how about, "Shloime, I
just kissed a boy named Shloime" (we warned you this would be
ridiculous), or, instead of "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star," how
about, "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Gefilte Fish"?
* Play "Grandmother's Attic," but make'it "Grandmother's
Refrigerator" filled with Jewish foods instead. The first person
says, "I looked in grandmother's kitchen and I saw some chopped liv-
er." The second person repeats the phrase, then adds his own: "I looked
in gandmother's kitchen and I saw some chopped liver and a box of
matzah." The third person repeats that phrase, then adds his own food,
and so on and so on until the list is so long nobody can repeat it any-
