cently elected to the nine-mem-
ber national board of directors of
the American Academy of Pedi-
atrics.
The 50,000 member academy

troit American Heart Walk to
take place 8:30 a.m. Saturday,
Oct. 5, at the Detroit Zoo.
Mr. Shanaman, an attorney
with the law offices of Wright,
Goldstein and Schwartz, will
serve as chairman of the walk, a
fund-raiser for the American
Heart Association.
This year he will serve with
chairman Tom Ritter, honorary
co-chairs Detroit Lions' Herman
Moore and his wife, Angela.
